Crushed Stone

Crushed stone, sand, and gravel are the main sources of natural aggregate. These are the granular materials composed of rock fragments that are mined or quarried and used in their natural state except for such operations as crushing, washing, and sizing. These materials are mostly used construction materials and are used with a binding medium to form concrete, mortar, and asphalt, or alone as in highway base courses, railroad ballast.
